Khan had returned from Pune and he used to like visiting dargahs early in the morning. He went to the Mahim and Marine Lines dargah and was returning home at around 4.30 on Friday morning. According to the police,Khan was a police informer and had tipped off the Crime Branch many times. The police arrested three Nagpada residents on Friday evening who were allegedly Khans former rivals. We arrested Irfan Yusuf Mushtaq Khan (25),Irfan Abdul Sheikh (33) and Sheikh Suleiman Mohinuddin alias Papa (32) from Nagpada. The investigation has revealed that the accused had committed the crime as they had nursed a grudge against Khan ever since he had tipped off the police about them. As Khan was a budding builder we also suspect that a property dispute may have led to his murder, said Baig.
