Police get hoax bomb threats claiming blasts at Mumbai airport, CSMT station
On Friday afternoon the main control room of Mumbai police received a call from a caller in which the caller claimed that a bomb had been placed at the T2 terminal of the Mumbai international airport.

The Maharashtra state police headquarters and the Mumbai police control room on Friday received calls threatening bomb blasts at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
However, extensive searches did not lead to the recovery of any suspicious objects or explosives.
According to the police sources, on Friday afternoon the main control room of Mumbai police received a call from a caller in which the caller claimed that a bomb had been placed at the T2 terminal of the Mumbai international airport.
After this, senior police officers of the Mumbai police, the state ATS, and the airport authority were informed, and due searches were conducted. However, no suspicious object was found, following which the security personnel declared the call a hoax.Mumbai police initiated a probe to trace the caller.
Similarly, the state police headquarters also received a call from an unknown person who claimed that a bomb had been planted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj terminus.
After this the Government Railway Police, along with the RPF personnel, searched the entire CSMT railway premises, and declared it was a hoax call, as nothing suspicious was found.
Mumbai’s Colaba Police has registered an Non-Cognisable complaint in the matter and is further investigating the case.
