Pawan lightweight champ

In what was deemed the winner of the ‘Fight of the Night Award,’the highlight of SFL 22 was the SFL World Lightweight Title match which saw Pawan Maan Singh beat Rajinder Singh by submission (Kimura). SFL 22 also saw Manoj Chauhan beat his uncle Uchit Sharma by a unanimous judges’ decision in the flyweights category,while Gautam Gulliya and Arun Singh Charak won their lightweight category matches by knock-out,beating Saeed Asghartabar and Vikas Singh Ruhil respectively.

The main event for SFL 23 saw Afghanistan’s Khwaja Mohibsha defeated Irfan ‘Inferno’ Khan by unanimous judges’ decision in the Lightweight Category. The bout was closely contested and eventually went in favour of the powerful Afghan.

In other SFL 23 matches,Amit Thapa beat Ankit Yadav in their light heavyweight tie through RNC submission. In the featherweight tie,Sumeet Khade beat Dhruv Chaudhary by a unanimous Judges’ decision,and in the only women’s bout of the night,Daizy beat Ritika Singh through a unanimous judges’ decision in their strawweights category tie. The evening also had some sparkling and dynamic performances put together by the Japan karate-do association which performed the style of Goju-Ryu Kenwakai and the MMA Association on Mumbai that performed the style of Shotokan for the crowds’ entertainment.
