The Loft will present an exhibition of site-specific installations and mixed media works by Austrian artist Zenita Komad,titled Eternally,I am your Yes. She has derived inspiration from stories from Greek Mythology such as the story of King Minos and his hybrid stepson,the Minotaur. Chanda Chaudhary Barrai of The Fuscia Tree,having sponsored Komad’s residency,says,“Zenita’s India residency and this exhibition of her unique and compelling concept is a fantastic opportunity for artists and art lovers in Mumbai to engage and exchange ideas with a dynamic artist and her international sensibility.”

Laughing Matter
Television producer Sunjoy Wadhwa is all set to hone his production skills with his first Hindi comic play Ek Tu aur Ek Mein directed by Suneel Sinha. It is a pair of dialogues,in a lock-up,between Pramod Joshi,an unsuccessful criminal and B P Shrivastava,an unsuccessful lawyer. The past years have seen many trials and tribulations,but now hope sings. The play,overall,is a series of events that are both funny and intriguing,at the same time which will make you sit up and laugh.

Classical Mild
All music lovers in the city can head to Mumbai Sanskruti,a two-day musical extravaganza featuring tabla maestro Zakir Hussain and eminent vocalists Rajan and Sajan Mishra. Conceptualised by Indian Heritage Society (IHS) in 2009,it is an annual event that promotes conservation of Mumbai’s built and cultural inheritance. A Shakespearean Bonanza
A real treat is on the way for all Shakespeare lovers. Two back-to-back adaptations of Shakespeare’s Macbeth— Akira Kurosawa’s Throne of Blood and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Maqbool. The films will be followed by an interaction with Vishal Bhardwaj. There will also be an additional rare screening of the first Shakespeare films made over a 100 years ago.
