Hosts Oriental Insurance alongwith Canara Bank and Mazgaon Dock entered the semi finals of the Insurance Shield Cricket Tournament.

Hosts Oriental Insurance alongwith Canara Bank and Mazgaon Dock entered the semi finals of the Insurance Shield Cricket Tournament. In Group A,Oriental Insurance,Canara Bank and GIC registered one win each,but Canara Bank who beat Oriental Insurance stood first in the group on net run rate and Oriental Insurance had to content with second spot in the group.

Oriental Insurance,who batted first got a good start from Jasbir Mankoo (47) and veteran Sanjay Nadkarni (66),who added 88 runs for the first wicket. and with little contribution of 30 runs from Jitendra Ingle Oriental Insurance scored 195/7 in 35 overs against Canara Bank.
