Making his way into Bollywood,Dutch director Laurence Postmas is all set to release his first Hindi film. Titled Cover Story, the film stars Jackie Shroff and debutant Anjum Nayar and is an official adaptation of legendary Dutch filmmaker Theo van Goghs film The Interview, which was remade by actor-director Steve Buscemi in Hollywood with Sienna Miller in the lead role. Cover Story is a two-character film revolving around a well-known journalist and a famous movie star. Shroff plays an award-winning political and war correspondent who is assigned to interview one of the most popular actresses of the country, played by Nayar.
How the two meet, connect and create moments of intimacy in the middle of the madness is the films premise. Its unlike anything I have done in a long, long time, says Shroff. Cover Story gave me an opportunity to dig deep within me and become the character. Its a film I am really looking forward to, he adds.
The film, written by Postma himself,is produced by Glorious Entertainment and has music by Monty Sharma (Saawariya) and Shamir Tandon (Page 3).
