Raina’s Gujarat show cancelled: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has claimed that Raina’s upcoming shows in Gujarat have been cancelled following public outcry. The VHP cited the crass nature of the remarks made on “India’s Got Latent” as the reason behind the cancellation, and tickets for Raina’s April shows were reportedly pulled from sale on the online platform BookMyShow.

The controversy began with a widely condemned question asked by Allahbadia on Samay Raina’s YouTube show, “India’s Got Latent.” During the episode, Allahbadia asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it forever?” Till now, multiple FIRs have been filed against Raina, Allahbadia, and other figures involved in the show, including comedian Ashish Chanchlani, actor Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija. Despite Allahbadia’s apology where he admitted that his comment was “inappropriate, unfunny, and a lapse in judgment,” the damage has been done.
