The Mumbai Police Friday arrested three persons for the murder of a 27-year-old history-sheeter in Sewri on Wednesday. Officers said the three, who were arrested from Mulund, have confessed to the killing.
Sushant Ghodekar alias Bunty was killed on Boat Hard road in Sewri. DCP Mohan Dahikar said they were informed that the murder was the fall-out of a rivalry between two groups that operate a parking mafia in Sewri. A crime branch team found three persons, Mohammad Shaikh (22), Atul Teke alias Sushil (24) and Akhilesh Mishra (43), from a rival gang were missing.
“We were tipped off they were preparing to leave the city and arrested them,” Dahikar said.
