MPSC exam hall tickets appear on Telegram, cyber police to probe
Soon after the news spread, the MPSC issued a statement confirming the breach, however, denied any impact of this on the scheduled exam.

Lakhs of Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) aspirants were in for a shock on Sunday as hall tickets of many of them for subject-wise exam to be held on April 30 were available on Telegram, a social media application.
Soon after the news spread, the MPSC issued a statement confirming the breach, however, denied any impact of this on the scheduled exam.
“Hall-tickets of Group B and Group C exam scheduled to be held on April 30 were made available on April 21 to students on Commission’s official website as well as through temporary external links. It has come to notice that hall tickets made available through the external link are published on Telegram. Due to this, the service through external link has been suspended,” the MPSC statement said, adding it has approached the cyber police for a detailed investigation.
Over four lakh students have registered for the exam. The Telegram channel claimed that it has also got access to question papers, while the MPSC denied it. “It has been verified by experts that apart from hall tickets made available on external link, no other student data has been leaked,” the statement said adding the exam will be held as per schedule.
“Candidates will be allowed entry to exam hall based on hall tickets downloaded from the official system made available by MPSC, online,” the statement added.
Mahesh Gharbude from Spardha Pariksha Samanvay Samiti, an association of MPSC aspirants active in Pune, said, “This may not have any impact on the exam. But this raises serious concern over security of data maintained by the MPSC.”
