Metro 7 to get 14 FOBs to facilitate commuters
Officials said that the 14 FOBs will come up in phases. In Phase 1, two FOBs will come up at Gundavali station at a cost of Rs 39 crore. Similarly, two FOBs will come up at Goregaon station, estimated to cost Rs 20.9 crore.

To facilitate east-west connectivity and make it easier for commuters to reach stations on the newly inaugurated Metro Line 7 (Dahisar East to Andheri East), passing alongside the Western Express Highway, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority will construct 14 foot overbridges (FOBs).
Officials said that the 14 FOBs will come up in phases. In Phase 1, two FOBs will come up at Gundavali station at a cost of Rs 39 crore. Similarly, two FOBs will come up at Goregaon station, estimated to cost Rs 20.9 crore.
In Phase 2, FOBs will come up at Aarey station, Rashtriya Udyan station and Overipada station. While Rashtriya Udyan and Ovarpada FOBs are set to cost Rs 11.12 crore together, cost of Aarey station FOB is yet to be finalised. Two more FOBs will also come up at Poisar and Dindoshi stations, estimated to cost Rs 15.78 crore.
In Phase 3, two FOBs will be constructed at Akurli 1 and 2 stations, estimated to cost Rs 6.6 crore and Rs 28.6 crore, respectively. Three other FOBs will come up at Goregoan, Poisar North and Goregoan-Nesco stations. While the Goregaon station FOB connecting the nearby Ram Mandir railway station is estimated to cost Rs 57.93 crore, the Poisar station FOB is set to cost Rs 30.95 crore.
Metro 2A and 7, with an average daily ridership of 1.47 lakh, cover 30 stations with 22 rakes. During peak time, trains are available at an 8-minute interval and during non-peak hours, at a 9-10 minute gap.
