The girl told her parents that she will be out for two days for her friend’s birthday.

According to the girl’s statement, one of the male friends allegedly raped her at the hotel in Matheran. The two others, including the girl’s minor friend, allegedly filmed the act and circulated the video on Instagram on July 14.

When the girl’s relative saw the video on Instagram, they informed her parents. On asking the girl about the incident, she revealed that she was raped in Matheran but did not tell anyone about the incident as she was scared. The girl’s mother then filed a police complaint on Friday.
