Man kills woman’s husband for refusing his marriage proposal, dumps body in creek
As per police sources, Mandal has been married to Fatima, 25, for the past few years. The accused Aminur Ali Maulla, 21, had unrequited feelings for Fatima and was trying to get close to her.

The Navi Mumbai police on Wednesday arrested a 21-year-old man, who allegedly killed the husband of the woman who refused his marriage proposal.
The deceased has been identified as Abubakar Mandal, 35, a resident of Vashi Gaon area in Navi Mumbai.
As per police sources, Mandal has been married to Fatima, 25, for the past few years. The accused Aminur Ali Maulla, 21, had unrequited feelings for Fatima and was trying to get close to her.
He recently proposed to Fatima and offered to marry her. She refused his proposal and told him that she was already married. This made Aminur angry, a police source said.
On Monday, when Fatima’s husband did not return home from work and as he could not also be contacted over phone, she approached Vashi police and filed a missing person’s complaint. During this time she also informed police that Aminur had proposed to her recently and desperately wanted to marry her. This prompted police to focus their hunt on Aminur.
During investigation the police found a Mandal’s body in the Vashi creek on Tuesday.
As per the police complaint, to clear the way to marry Fatima, the accused allegedly killed Fatima’s husband and threw the body in the creek. To destroy evidence he dumped his clothes and other belongings in a nullah in Vashi village near Panvel-Sion road.
On Fatima’s complaint the police registered a murder case against Aminur and launched a hunt.
Soon police managed to nab Aminur using leads obtained through technical investigations.
Sub-inspector Babasaheb Sangale of Vashi police station confirmed that the accused was arrested within 36-hours of the crime and that further investigation is on.
