Man held for stabbing ‘friend’ multiple times

A 23-year-old man has been arrested by the Mumbai police on Friday for allegedly stabbing a 38-year-old woman multiple times in Nagpada on Thursday morning.
According to police, the arrested person and the woman were in a relationship for three years. “However, the victim started ignoring him after her son saw her with the accused.”

Police said the victim’s husband had even confronted the accused and asked him to stay away from her. “But he kept following her and forced her to answer his video calls,” said an officer.

As the victim kept declining his advances, the accused allegedly attacked her with a knife and a scissor. Police said that the victim was rushed to the hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

“Her statement was recorded following which a case was registered and the accused was arrested,” said an officer.
