Man alleges son didn’t die in train accident but murdered, probe on

As per the letter written by the youth’s father Arvind Parmar, on February 21, his son left home at 9.30pm.

A MONTH after the body of a 21-year-old was found on railway tracks, his father wrote to the railway police that he suspects his son has been murdered. The Wadala railway police that had filed an accidental death report after Mehul Parmar’s body was found, has now formed a team to probe the details of the case again.

As per the letter written by the youth’s father Arvind Parmar, on February 21, his son left home at 9.30pm. He said three of his friends were with him and the same night his body was found on the railway tracks near Tilak Nagar railway station.

He alleged that his son was murdered and an attempt was made to pass off the incident as a railway accident death.

He alleged that his son had been having a fight with his friends since the past few days. He alleged that they had a fight on the night of his death as well following which they murdered his son. He sought a police probe in the matter.

Wadala GRP senior inspector Smita Dhakne said in their probe so far the death appears to be accidental. “So far nothing suspicious has come to the fore. However, since his father has requested, we have formed a team to look into all aspects of the probe.”
