Maharashtra got Rs 1.13 lakh crore FDI in 6 months: CM Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra has attracted the highest foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country in the second quarter of the 2024-2025 financial year ending September, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Friday.

“Within six months (April to September), Maharashtra received Rs 1,13,236 crore FDI,” Fadnavis said in a statement issued by the CM’s Office.

“If the average for the last four years is taken into account, the FDI in the state comes to Rs 1,19,556 crore, which means almost 94.71 per cent of total expected investment has come in six months,” the statement adds.

Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, Fadnavis said: “I congratulate Maharashtra’s people. I congratulate deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar and cabinet colleagues…we reiterate our pledge to work and take Maharashtra to greater heights in the coming days.”

Fadnavis, who is leading the new Mahayuti government in the state, has promised a transparent government that will deliver results. With Mumbai being the financial capital, Maharashtra remains a preferred destination for investment, both domestic and foreign, Fadnavis observed.
