We wanted to play with everything thats at the heart of the Burberry world celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way, remarked Burberrys chief creative officer,Christopher Bailey, referring to the labels Autumn-Winter 2012 campaign.
With the London Olympics 2012 having just concluded, the campaign which uses the city as a backdrop and puts forth a series of cinematic, emotive black-and-white images and short films featuring British actress Gabriella Wilde and British musician Roo Panes, couldnt have been better themed. Shot entirely at night by Mario Testino at the iconic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich,London, the entire multimedia content can be viewed across the brands online and offline platforms throughout the season. Also as a continuation of the brands Runway to Reality concept, for the first time consumers will be able to buy the Autumn-Winter 2012 collection directly through the campaign gallery on Burberry.com.
