Light showers to continue in Mumbai

According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather station in Colaba received around 40.6 mm of rain while the Santacruz station recorded 4.8 mm.

The city experienced a few spells of rain on Friday. According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather station in Colaba received around 40.6 mm of rain while the Santacruz station recorded 4.8 mm. According to IMD, intermittent showers will continue on Saturday as well.

Despite continuous rain throughout the day, no waterlogging was reported in the city. According to the civic body’s disaster management department, there was one incident of partial house collapse but no injuries. Apart from that, there were two other incidents of trees getting uprooted and two incidents of short-circuit, without any injuries being reported.

After continuous rain, the lake levels have risen to 13.25 lakh million litres of water. Apart from Bhatsa, all the six lakes are filled to maximum capacity.
