Konkan Housing Board launches lottery for sale of 5285 flats in Thane, Palghar, Sindhudurg

Konkan Housing and Area Development Board, the regional office of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), has announced a new lottery for the sale of 5,285 flats and 77 residential plots in various areas of Thane, Palghar, and Sindhudurg districts. The online application process for the housing lottery will begin at 1 pm Monday.

The flats are available in five categories: 20 per cent inclusive housing scheme (565 flats), 15 per cent integrated urban housing scheme (3,002 flats), the Konkan board housing scheme and scattered flats in existing conditions (1,677 flats), Konkan board affordable housing (51 flats that are 50 per cent affordable) and plots under Konkan board housing scheme (77 plots).

Apart from the flats, the Board is also providing residential plots in Oros in the Sindhudurg district and Kulgaon-Badlapur. The transaction is a part of the MHADA’s yearly supply of housing to cater to the demand for affordable housing in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Eligible candidates will have until August 13 to register and apply online. August 14 is the deadline for submitting the payment of the earnest money deposit (EMD). The provisional selection list of eligible candidates will be published on August 21 at 6 pm. Claims and objections, if any, can be raised until August 25, and then the final list will be published on September 1.

The draw for this lottery will be held under a computerised system on September 3. Candidates will receive the results through SMS, email, and on the official MHADA mobile app.

“The entire lottery process is online and transparent, and any fraudulent dealings outside the system will not be the responsibility of the Board. We urge all applicants to rely only on the official MHADA website and refrain from dealing with any third-party agents or intermediaries,” said Revati Gaikar, chief officer, Konkan Board.
