Kandivali double murder: 4 accused remanded in judicial custody

A Borivali magistrate court remanded four of the five accused in the murders of Hema Upadhyay and her lawyer Harish Bhambhani to judicial custody.

The accused have been identified as Shivkumar alias Sadhu Rajbhar, Vijay Rajbhar, Pradeep Rajbhar and Azad Rajbhar. While Shivkumar was captured in a joint operation with the UP Special Task Force from his village in Varanasi on December 16, the other three worked at the studio of absconding accused Vidyadhar Rajbhar in Malad, and were picked up in Mumbai from various locations.

The fifth accused in the case is Hema’s estranged husband Chintan, who was arrested last week and will be produced before the Borivali magistrate on January 1, 2016.
