For greater efficiency, Army recruitment process to begin online in state

Registration for the this round will be open on the website between July 15 and August 15.

Recruitment for the Indian Army in Maharashtra will go online on Wednesday with a view to eliminate ineligible candidates flocking to recruitment rallies. Beginning on the midnight of July 14 and July 15, aspirants aged 17-and-a-half-years and above will be able to complete part of the recruitment on the Army’s website (www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).

An Army spokesperson said that once registered on the website, aspirants will be sent an admit card and will be required to bring a printout of the card on their pre-determined date to attend the recruitment rally.

The move online is aimed at organising candidates for the next rally at Jivdani Devi Ground in Virar between September 1-20. The spokesperson said that the rally will cater to candidates in Mumbai,Thane, Palghar, Raigad and Nashik. Registration for the this round will be open on the website between July 15 and August 15. At the rally, eligible candidates will be required to undergo a physical fitness test and the preliminary medical examination.
