FIR filed after stray dog shot with air gun in Mumbai
The Oshiwara police are questioning a father-son duo as they suspect one of them shot at the dog.
The air gun belongs to the father and the dog is in the hospital, an official said. THE MUMBAI police have registered an FIR in connection with a stray dog being fired at with an air gun in a housing complex at Oshiwara in Andheri (west) on Saturday night.
An official said that the incident took place near Shantivan Building, a housing society in Andheri (West), where a stray dog was wounded by an air gun shot.
The Oshiwara police are questioning a father-son duo as they suspect one of them shot at the dog.
An official said that the stray was continuously barking outside the residential complex when one of the suspects got annoyed and injured the animal.
The air gun belongs to the father and the dog is in the hospital, an official said.
A case has been registered against suspect under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section 325 (Mischief by killing or maiming animal) and the Animal Cruelty Act.
Police have not yet made any arrests.
