The actress looks every inch the leggy model in this drool-inducing attire. We love her sculpted jacket and the layered necklace just adds that feminine touch. Our only gripe is those galumphing platforms which are screaming to be replaced by something sleeker and at least two inches higher. (If you’ve got legs like that,it’s your sacred duty to put them to maximum advantage.) We would have objected to the hair tortured into the scary topknot except for the fact that it gives her an air of the sexy kindergarten teacher. Every masculine mind must be imagining a wind coming from nowhere and fanning out those luscious locks like in a Pantene shampoo ad.

It isn’t often that we see the celeb cadre leave their bolt holes and deign to bestow their presence on the masses. Gauri has not only taken the effort but she’s sartorially pared down the glamour to be truly one amongst the crowds. (Notice the khaki outfit?) And yet,not quite. Is it the giant gladiators or the I’m-a-cut-above-the-rest pout that sets her just a wee bit apart from the aam aadmi?

Call us sticks-in-the-mud but we like our men to make a clear demarcation between formal and informal. Formal is taming those unruly curls,donning your Armani suit and enjoying cocktails made with hors d’age cognac. Informal is lying on your sofa in a grubby dressing gown watching re-runs of Friends. Combine the two—and hey presto—you get Kunal Kapoor who’s paired a shirt and tie with a casual knit jumper that looks like it’s borrowed from an Archie comic. Make up your mind,Mr Kapoor.
