Mumbai: Noting that there seems to be glamour attached to the postings in cities,the Bombay High Court Thursday directed the state to frame a policy to ensure that government doctors serve in tribal areas. The division bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and M S Sonak was irked by the apathy of the government over posting general physicians as well as specialists in tribal areas. The order came on a PIL by Purnima Upadhyay,seeking effective implementation of the state and central schemes to fight malnutrition in Melghat. Deploy more GRP personnel on trains Mumbai: The Bombay High Court Thursday directed the Railway Board and the state to clear expeditiously a proposal to deploy additional 100 GRP personnel at suburban railway stations and on local trains to ensure safety of women.
