Dharavi Redevelopment Project CEO S V R Srinivas takes additional charge as BEST general manager
IAS officer Anil Diggikar, who previously served as BEST general manager, was transferred on December 24.

Senior IAS officer S V R Srinivas, chief executive officer of the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, Thursday took additional charge as the general manager of the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking.
“The newly appointed GM, S V R Srinivas, has started overseeing the work in the department soon after his appointment,” said the BEST spokesperson.
Srinivas, a 1991-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has over two decades of experience in urban planning, public transport, metro rail, and infrastructure development.
He has previously held leadership positions in key urban development bodies, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
His appointment to the BEST undertaking is seen as a strategic move to enhance public transport services in Mumbai.
IAS officer Anil Diggikar, who previously served as BEST general manager, was transferred on December 24. Following his transfer, IAS officer Harshdeep Kamble was appointed to the position but did not take charge and was later assigned to another role.
