Malegaon Blast Verdict Today Live Updates: It is the govt’s responsibility to punish the guilty, says Congress

Maharashtra Congress chief Harshavardhan Sapkal said that it was the government’s responsibility to punish the guilty. Maintaining that his party sees no colour in terrorism, irrespective of what the ruling side is claiming, Sapkal said, “We demand justice to the victims of Mumbai train blasts and Malegaon blasts. It is the responsibility of the government to punish the guilty. We in the Congress party attach no colour to any act of terrorism.”

Adding that it was the failure of the NIA which is working under Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former Maharashtra CM and senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan said, “I will not use the word ‘innocent’… They are acquitted because evidence was not presented. Whose responsibility is this?… It is important to note that the initial case was fought by the Maharashtra ATS. Is Devendra Fadnavis saying that those officials of Maharashtra ATS did it (arrests of accused) purposely?” Chavan also asked whether Fadnavis will now take action against those officials.

Malegaon Blast Verdict Today Live Updates: 'Congress committed an unforgivable crime', says Chandrashekhar Bawankule

BJP leader and revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule -

The verdict of the special NIA court in the Malegaon bomb blast case is not merely a judicial decision but an exposure of a long-running political conspiracy to defame.

The Hon. Court clearly noted that there was no concrete evidence behind any of the allegations. But a more serious matter is that the Congress deliberately used the term “Hindu terrorism” in its propaganda, attempting to defame the Hindu community and its faith worldwide.

The Congress committed an unforgivable crime by trying to place Hinduism, in the ranks of terrorists, which rather has been a symbol of humanity and tolerance for centuries.

Today, the court has upheld the truth, and now the Congress must apologize to the Hindu community!

A Hindu has never been a terrorist and never will be. The court’s decision today has delivered a resounding slap to those who defamed Hindus.
