A newly-joined police sub-inspector of the Shivaji Nagar police station,died after falling off a fast local at Parel Tuesday morning. According to inspector Prakash Mansukh,Dadar railway police,the body of Sandeep Jagannath Suryavanshi (25),a Sangli resident,was found between Parel and Dadar stations. Police said Suryavanshi,who had joined the department a month ago,was returning home in Parel where he was staying with fellow officers. But his fellow officers were puzzled as to why did Suryavanshi take a fast local if he had to get down at Parel. We do not know why did he board a fast local if was going home to Parel, said Shivaji Shinde,senior police inspector,Dadar railway police station.
