(File Photo)Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and dared him to resign and face elections. Aaditya said if Shinde resigns, he would contest the poll against him from the chief minister’s constituency in Thane.
While speaking during his Shakha visit and dialogue with Sena workers on Sunday evening, Aaditya Thackeray said, “The traitors (rebel Sena leaders and Shinde) have gone but Shiv Sainiks are still with us. If the traitors had some shame and courage, then they would have held Thane Municipal Corporation elections, but they would not do it. I challenge you to resign if you have courage. I am ready to come and fight in your constituency”.
Further targeting CM Shinde, Aaditya said the Maharashtra chief minister is working for Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and his builder friends.
“In the last one and a half years, not a single new industry has come up in the state. But every single institution and project is being sent to Gujarat. It seems that with this rate state secretariat of Maharashtra would also be shifted to Gujarat. There is no development in the state but there is progress of only the builder friend of CM Shinde. They do not go to Delhi for the progress of the state but for the progress of their own,” Aaditya said.
