The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has received a total of 400 applications for its proposed “Maha Nivas” Housing scheme in Palm beach meant for Members of Parliament, Legislators, Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service officials, judges and other top officials.
A senior official from CIDCO said that the registration scheme was open till November 30 and 400 applications were received.
CIDCO has thus received Rs 4 crore in application money, which was Rs 1 lakh per application.
The previous deadline for application was November 12 which was later extended, said the official.
Another official said that now they will initiate document verification work, ask for an affidavit and simultaneously will make scheme layout based on the final number of applications confirmed.
The Maha Nivas Housing scheme will be registered with MahaRERA and then a random allotment will be given informing on which floor the applicants houses will be located and payments to be made.
In the scheme, about 350 houses were to be constructed — with 3 BHK houses of 1150 sq ft and 4 BHK houses of 1600 sq ft. However, considering the final number of demand the number of houses will be constructed, said the official.
The tentative cost of 3 bhk houses is Rs 2.45 crore and that of 4 bhk houses will be Rs 3.47 crore, as per the notification issued by the CIDCO, earlier in October.
Along the proposed residential tower, other amenities such as amphitheater, squash court, swimming pool, garden area, mini auditorium, billiards table, walking and cycling track will be developed.
Meanwhile, CIDCO has conditioned that the buyer will not be able to sell their apartment before three years after buying the property.
