The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) Friday presented its highest-ever annual budget of Rs 14,130 crore for the financial year 2025-26. The budget aims to accelerate key ongoing and upcoming projects, including the Navi Mumbai International Airport, affordable housing, metro lines, and water supply schemes.
CIDCO’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Vijay Singhal, tabled the budget with estimated expenditure of Rs 14,120 crore and revenue projection of Rs 14,130 crore.
Calling it a “landmark and ambitious” budget, Singhal said it reflects CIDCO’s commitment to fast-tracking urban development and enhancing transparency in public service delivery.
“Major projects like the Navi Mumbai airport, NAINA, metro network, and International EduCity are progressing at critical stages. In addition to these, we’ve also made substantial allocations for key public services such as water supply and connectivity. This will ensure timely completion of projects and offer much-needed relief to citizens,” said Singhal.
Among the top allocations are Rs 6,868 crore for general development, Rs 3,251 crore for housing schemes, Rs 1,120 crore for water supply, and Rs 625 crore for metro projects. Other focus areas include railway infrastructure (Rs 653 crore), new township development (Rs 1,073 crore ) and the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project (Rs 527 crore).
The budget also supports projects such as the Thane cluster redevelopment, Ulwe Coastal Road, Kharghar-Turbhe link road, International Corporate Park, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and economic activity.
According to CIDCO officials, this forward-looking budget builds on that legacy with a sharper focus on accountability and streamlined administration.
