Builder found dead

A construction material supplier was found dead in his Mira Road house on Friday.

Police said the body of Deepak Raj was found by his neighbours,in his bedroom with hands and legs tied and mouth gagged. He was alone in his fourth-floor flat at Matoshri Nagar near Bharti Park as his family had gone to Orissa to meet relatives.

The police have ruled out robbery as motive behind Rajs murder as valuables were intact in the house.

They suspect he might have been killed by people who knew him as they found a few liquor bottles and plates with leftover food in the house. We have registered a case of murder, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (Mira Road division) Nitin Sambatwad.
