The BMC on Friday said citizens should plan their vacations in such a way that they would not miss the Census to be held in the city from May 1 to June 25.

The civic body would come out with an appeal soon.

“We will request the citizens to plan their vacations accordingly,” said municipal commissioner Swadhin Kshatriya.

If an enumerator has not visited somebody’s house,he or she should inform the same to ward officers before June 25,he said.

He said people should realise that all information the Census collates will help them get unique indentification numbers. The Census will be conducted from May 1 to June 25. Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam had earlier asked the state government to postpone the Census exercise,as many people go out of the city in May and June for summer vacation.
