The minute we sit down with Zayed Khan he begins talking nineteen to a dozen. Its a pleasure to chat with the friendly actor who needs no prodding to discuss his film career or personal life. Its a sunny afternoon on the seventh floor terrace of Sanjay Plaza in Juhu and Khan is well prepared with his Louis Vuitton sunnies on.

His next film,Blue,has him extremely excited. Hell be playing Sagars (Sanjay Dutt) younger brother,Sam,a stubborn boy who doesnt think before he leaps and thus ends up getting everyone into trouble. Anthony DSouza,director,came up to me and said,Zayed I want you to play yourself. I need you to be edgy,arrogant and cocky. Well,I guess it was nice knowing what he thought of me, the actor grins. After hearing the script and learning about the brilliant cast lined up for the project,Khan didnt even have to think twice before agreeing.

Blue,which is currently the industrys most expensive film,has a large Hollywood crew that has previously worked on projects like The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Bourne Ultimatum.

Khan still cant forget the first time he was made to meet the wild sharks that they would be shooting with. The stunt man took him to the water and poured some blood into it. Within seconds the place was swarming with sharks and Khan was jokingly asked if he was ready to jump in with the hungry animals. Working with the sharks was exhilarating. At the end of it,I could identify them. I could soon point out to the one who refused to get out of the frame yesterday,or the one who disrupted the shoot the day before, he laughs.

When theres so much action theres bound to be some accidents. Luckily for the crew no one was harmed by the sharks since they were extremely well fed before getting close to them. But Khan did manage to get some stitches on his head while shooting for a sequence on land. One day,I had to jump off a height on to the roof of a car which would then collapse. When I jumped,it looked like everything had gone really well and as I walked out of the broken car I suddenly saw everyone gasping and there was this rush of nurses and ambulances coming towards me. I couldnt understand what happened and when I wiped my forehead I saw my hand full of blood. Im just glad that the scar is not visible, he says and calls for some coffee which arrives almost immediately in huge mugs.

After a series of films that didnt fare too well at the box office,the actor is obviously hoping that Blue will help bring him back to the limelight. Im extremely anxious, he says,The way the industry works: you have to have a hit for people to look at you differently.So yes,this film does matter a lot to me.

Rumours that his father Sanjay Khan is producing a film for his son,which will also star son-in-law Hrithik Roshan is doing the rounds. The actor doesnt deny this but says that nothing is finalised as yet. Were still looking for the perfect script and itll take a while till that plan materialises, he explains.
