(Photo Credit: ICT, Mumbai website)Former vice-chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) in Mumbai, professor Ganapati D Yadav, has been honoured with the Bhatnagar Fellowship by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
Yadav, who serves as the National Science Chair (Government of India), said, “This honour is particularly meaningful as I currently serve as the President of the Indian Chemical Society, which is proudly celebrating its centennial jubilee year.”

A chemical engineer, inventor and academic, professor Yadav is known for his research on nanomaterials, gas absorption with chemical reaction and phase transfer catalysis. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri in 2016 for his contribution to science and engineering. He has authored 570 original research papers, holds 136 patents, and written three books.
