The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the government to appoint a senior engineer of the SRA to monitor the construction of the twin towers at Tardeo. It also asked the developer,SD Corporation,to implement the recommendations of the IIT report in six months,after the monsoon. Advocate General Ravi Kadam and government pleader G W Mattos informed the court that they would appoint an officer of the rank of chief engineer in two weeks to look into the safety aspect and whether any recommendations,other than in the IIT report,need to be implemented.
