After IIT JEE,city student scales another high

Mumbai’s Pararth Shah came 12th and Abhsihek Padmanabhan of Thane 16th in the All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) results declared on Saturday.

Mumbai’s Pararth Shah came 12th and Abhsihek Padmanabhan of Thane 16th in the All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) results declared on Saturday. They had secured the 4th and 14th ranks respectively in IIT JEE and will be heading to IITB.

Padmanabhan,a student of Sathye college,Vile Parle,said,“I had been preparing for IIT JEE throughout the year. The AIEEE portion is quite similar to IIT JEE and hence made it easy for me to score well in AIEEE also.” He wants to pursue either computer science or electrical engineering at IIT Bombay and then get into research.

Shah,a student of Goklibai college,Vile Parle,also said the IIT JEE preparation had helped him in securing a good rank in AIEEE. He is also looking forward to pursue computer science in IITB.

The AIEEE is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology and deemed universities. As many as 96,2119 students had appeared for the examination,held in April.
