Early on Friday, a car in Goregaon’s Bangur Nagar, swerved and landed on an uncovered portion of the ongoing road concretisation in the area. No one was hurt in the incident, an official said.

According to civic officials, the incident was spurred by the sudden onset of showers and sudden winds in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The incident was reported at 2.30 am along the Krishna Leela road in Goregaon.

“Work on the site was ongoing but as rain suddenly occurred, labourers moved away to seek some respite. Then, the car tried to take a left turn and suddenly fell into the work site. As the labourers were just there, they immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the passenger. He remained unhurt,” an official said.
