Two minors were apprehended for allegedly stabbing a 22-year-old man to death in Mankhurd early Monday.

According to police, Ramzan Abdul Hamid, was murdered after he allegedly got into a fight with the two minors — aged 15 and 16 — over getting a matchbox to light a cigarette.

A case of murder was registered with Mankhurd police station and the two juveniles were sent to the Dongri Observation Home.

An officer said that the incident took place Monday morning when Hamid, who is unemployed, came to a shop in Sathe Nagar area of Mankhurd. The juveniles who were standing there got into an argument with Hamid over passing the matchbox.
