2 killed in accident

Two persons died in a road accident in Wadala on Wednesday afternoon.

Two persons died in a road accident in Wadala on Wednesday afternoon. They were returning from Wadala police station after securing permission for Gokulashtami celebrations in their area.

A case has been registered with the Wadala Truck Terminus police under Section 304 (A),death due to negligence,against the drivers of the tanker and the trailer.

Police said Prithviraj Mane and Vaibhav Gadhse,the deceased,were riding a motorbike around 2 pm and two other friends were tailing them. Their bike was between a trailer and a tanker. The tanker driver suddenly swerved to the left and Mane and Gadhse came under the rear wheels of the trailer.

While the driver of the tanker is absconding,police have nabbed the trailer driver,Khetulal Jaiswal.

Keshav Patil,deputy commissioner of police (Zone IV) said,The two friends are in state of shock and are not in a condition to recall the sequence of incidents at the moment.
