2 died, 3 injured as 2 bikes collide in Sion
The police said that at the time of the accident, three persons were illegally travelling on one of the two bikes.

Two persons died while three others were injured after a bike entered a wrong lane on the Sion bridge in Mumbai and collided with another bike travelling in the opposite direction.
The police said that at the time of the accident, three persons were illegally travelling on one of the two bikes.
According to police, the two deceased have been identified as Animesh More (23) and Ashfaq Siddiqui (28) who are residents of Vikhroli and Govandi respectively while the injured persons are Vignesh Sarvade (20), Amol Kunchikurve (20) and Mehandi Sayyed (30).
The police said that the incident took place at around 3.45 am on Wednesday.
An officer said, “More and Kunchikurve were travelling on the south-bound direction on a bike driven by Sarvade.”
The police said that Sarvade suddenly entered the opposite lane of the Sion bridge when a bike heading northwards collided with them.
“Ansari and Sayyed were returning after offering prayers, when they met with an accident. All the five injureds were rushed to Sion hospital where More and Ansari were declared dead during treatment,” an officer said.
The police said that a case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against Sarvade while the two bikes involved in the accident were seized and brought to the police station.
“The three injured persons are still admitted in the hospital and are receiving treatment. Our team is probing the case and we will soon get exact details on the cause of the accident,” an officer added.
