Tube talk

"Isn't that what middle class families look for the minute their daughter grows up? I'll be doing the same on Zee's Pavitra Risshta,"

All knotted up

“Isn’t that what middle class families look for the minute their daughter grows up? I’ll be doing the same on Zee’s Pavitra Risshta,” Savita Prabhune is all set to play a common middle-class Maharashtrian mother who’s sole purpose in life is finding a suitable boy for her daughter. “Be it the temple,or party,or with friends…it’s marriage on my mind all the time,” she talks about the show which debuts on June 1 on Zee at 9pm. Totally de-glamourised,marriage,says Savita is the main theme of the show, but be prepared for lot of twists and turns. “For I have two more daughters,a son and daughter-in-law too and the usual saas-bahu nok-jhok. It’s a story every middle class family will relate to and have a emotional connect with,” Savita will soon be caught between selfless love and social status. Does she get a desirable match for her daughter? Tune in on Monday,June 1.

Divine intervention

THEY might be out of Saat Phere, but telly still hasn’t had enough of its on screen couple,Sharad Kelkar and Rajshree Thakur. Come Monday,June 1,and both will enter Zee TV’s Shree as God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Seems like producer JD Majethia is on a different tangent – first,he roped in Veebha Anand to play the evil spirit’s role, then Madhumita as Bindiya (Shree’s cousin sister),Aroona Irani as Shree’s dead mother,Tanaz Currim stepped in last week and now it’s Sharad and Rajshree’s turn. According to sources,Saloni and Nahar’s stint might just save the dwindling TRPs. Monday will see Shree learn some vital lessons of life from the heavenly couple muster courage to fight for Hari and her rights. Holy shamolie!
