Swine flu: Three more test positive in Ludhiana

Panicked city residents have resorted to anti-viral medicines and herbs to keep the virus at bay.

Three more patients from Ludhiana tested positive for swine flu on Wednesday taking the number of patients from city to 23. The overall total has touched 50. Panicked city residents have resorted to anti-viral medicines and herbs with a belief that this will keep the virus at bay.

On Wednesday, a 34-year-old male patient from Qila Mohalla, a 67-year-old male from Chowni Mohalla and a 56-year-old female patient from Dugri were tested positive of swine flu. Dr Suneet Arora, a city-based Ayurveda doctor said, “Patients come to me with queries that what should they eat in advance so as to boost their immunity against swine flu.” Residents have started taking black pepper, tulsi and giloye . All though are immunity boosters, but have no history of controlling swine flu, he added.
