Now,auto workers body issues helpline numbers

The federation today issued identity cards to 150 auto-rickshaw drivers. For a change,all these drivers were wearing grey coloured uniform. The president of the federation said,“We issued identity cards of our federation to all those whose documents were complete. And all these autos carry the name and cell number of the auto-driver.”

He said that the federation took this step after taking auto-drivers into confidence.

Kulbir Singh said,”Many a time,we came across complaints related to crime,in which some auto-drivers were also involved. To avoid all this,we decided to issue identity cards to all those who fulfilled our conditions.”

The ederation would also issue I-cards to all who fulfil certain conditions which are: one should have complete documents of the vehicle,should not overload,wear uniform,carry his address and phone number on both sides (front and back) of the autorickshaw,not allow anyone to share the driver’s seat etc.”
