Man tries to kill self

The man was under depression as he was unable to bear the expenses of his treatment.

Suffering from AIDS, a resident of Shimlapuri, on Monday, tried to commit suicide. He jumped into Sidhwan Canal from Dugri bridge but was saved by local divers who noticed him.

As per police, the man was under depression as he was unable to bear the expenses of his treatment. He has a wife and three children and lives in a rented accommodation. Charan Singh, investigating officer of the case said, “A gurudwara had also arranged Rs 2.5 lakh for the treatment of the patient.”
