Court accepts FIR cancellation report against engineer
The special designated court of Additional Sessions Judge,Ludhiana,on Thursday accepted the FIR cancellation report submitted by the Vigilance department in a case registered against Sandeep Bahl,executive engineer,Punjab Pollution Control Board. On the complaint of Arun Kumar Prop of M/s Garg Fasteners Bhagat Singh Colony,a case had been registered against Bahl. Investigations revealed that the complaint was inspired by a personal grudge,as Bahl had initiated action against the complainant for allegedly causing pollution in residential area. SSP (VB) S S Mand said: We found the case was motivated.
Woman alleges wrong operation by civil hospital doctor
Leela Devi has accused a civil hospital gynaecologist of conducting a wrong operation on her. She has approached the anti-corruption wing for justice and claimed the doctor is now asking for more money to rectify the mistake. Ramesh Bangar,president of the wing,has complained to the civil surgeon and health minister,on her behalf demanding action against the doctor. Civil surgeon Dr Satwant Kaur Bhalla said she is yet to receive the complaint.
