DMRC,local bodies officials visit city

A team from Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) visited Ludhiana along with the local bodies Secretary Suresh Kumar and other officials.

The proposed Metro rail project for the city was discussed in detail and it was pointed out again that government land should be acquired in majority.

The alignment of the project should be done in such a way that the maximum government land should come the way of the Ludhiana Metro project,said Kumar.

Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Verma has been appointed MD for the Ludhiana Metro project.

Meanwhile,shopkeepers in many areas are raising objections as there shops are coming in the way.
