Dalit Bhalai Manch formed

In order to fight for the rights of SC/ST and BPL families,Dalit Bhalai Manch,a registered body,has been formed today.

Ratan Singh Kamalpuria is the president of this manch,who states that politics has nothing to do with this organisation and this body will work for the welfare of the dalits first in Punjab and later the movement will be spread in the other states as well.

He said,“The condition of Dalits in Punjab is pitiable and hence our 11-member committee will be visiting the villages of Punjab to expand our membership and also to fight for the cause of the Dalits.”

The other members of this Manch are: Om parkash Aligarh – senior vice-president,Darshan Singh Kutbewal – vice-president,Daljit Singh Thrike – general secretary.
