Corporate calling: Defence personnel line up at UIAMS

Defence personnel are emerging as management aspirants at the University Institute of Applied Management Studies Panjab University. The department has received requests from both Chandimandir in Panchkula and Defence base in Shimla,asking for admissions to their off-campus management courses. Taking note,the department has asked for an increase in 100 seats,in addition to the already existing 400 for off-campus courses. Interestingly,the department already has a 5 per cent quota reserved for defence personnel. The proposal will be discussed at the Syndicate meeting scheduled for Saturday.
