Soyabean is best alternative for lactose intolerant

Ludhiana: The Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology today transferred technology of soyabean processing in to milk and paneer (tofu) to a local farmer Gurdeep Singh for commercial scale production. Notably,soyabean milk is highly useful for diabetic and patients of cardio vascular diseases. Transferring technology to Gurdeep of village Kartarpur,Dr R T Patil said that while outmost care was given to cow milk after production,in case of soybean milk extra care was required during its production. He said that due to high nutritious value and low chances of adulteration soyabean milk was fast gaining popularity. Soyabean milk is the best alternative for people suffering from lactose intolerance, he said.

I-T raid at office of real estate firm

Ludhiana: The income tax sleuths from New Delhi today raided the Ludhiana office of IREO Real Estate Group in Feroze Gandhi market. The raid started at New Delhi office and subsequently its branches in North India were also raided. The company is coming up with a township near Baddowal in Ludhiana. Till the time of filing this report,the records were being checked by the IT officials.

KCW students bring laurels,win 31 prizes

Ludhiana: The students of Khalsa College for Women have won 31 prizes at the zonal youth festival. The college bagged 8 first prizes,11 second prizes and 12 third prizes in various categories. Sargam Kalra of BA III stood first in non percussion category.
