Youth caught with explosives

Sashastra Seema Bal personnel on Friday arrested a youth carrying explosives and detonators while he was trying to sneak into Nepal from Bahraich.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel on Friday arrested a youth carrying explosives and detonators while he was trying to sneak into Nepal from Bahraich.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) at SSB’s Lucknow Headquarters,Anil Agrawal said: “The preliminary interrogation of 33-year-old Bahadur Bisht revealed that he was employed with a construction project at Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. He says that he stole 137 plastic explosive rods and equal number of detonators along with 12 safety fuses from the storeroom at the site.”

However,interrogators doubt his claim that he had stolen explosives from the project site. Bisht is a resident of Ramku village in Kalighat district in Nepal,police said.
