An electrician and a security guard of Instrumentation Limited,a Government of India enterprise,were found murdered inside the companys regional office in Mahanagar police station area of Lucknow on Monday morning. An FIR has been lodged in the case against another security guard of the company.
The blood-stained bodies were identified as those of D N Singh,58,an electrician of Instrumentation Limited,and Vanshraj Yadav,52,a security guard of the office employed on contractual basis. The bodies were found at the conference hall of the office by companys Deputy General Manager (Finance and Accounts) Ashok Kumar Singh and his colleagues on Monday morning when they reached office and entered after unlocking the door. The office was locked from outside.
Singh informed the police about the incident. He said another security guard of the office identified as Kripashankar Mishra,who was also on duty,was missing from office as well as from his Lucknow residence in Pandey Tola area.
Singh described Mishra as violent by nature and suspected that he may have killed the two and locked the office from outside before fleeing away.
Police said both the deceased persons seems to have been hit by some blunt object on their heads that seem to have caused their deaths. The bodies seemed more than 24 hours old and were stinking,they said.
However,police did not recover any such object used for killing from the spot. Police recovered eatables from the the spot. They suspected that the incident took place on Saturday night before the the deceased could have had their dinner.
An FIR has been lodged against Mishra at Mahanagar police station for murder. A team of police was sent to Mishras native place Jagatpur in Rae Bareli district where he was not found
His family members,however,said that Mishra was very short-tempered and suffered from depression. He had also sent his wife back to Jagatpur after fighting with her three months ago,police said.
D N Singh was an electrician posted in Obra branch of Instrumentation Limited. He had come to Lucknow on an official tour on Saturday.
Lucknow SSP Ashutosh Pandey said the motive behind the killings was not yet clear.
The police has booked Mishra as it is suspected that he was suffering from depression and could have killed both after some argument,he said.
